So word on the street is that there is a documentary being made for one of Hip Hop’s infamous and my all time favorite group. That’s right A Tribe Called Quest will be the center of this documentary that is being done by Michael Rapaport. As we all know Mr Rapaport who has stared in films like Zebrahead, Bamboozled, and Higher Learning. He also had his own sitcom called The War at Home. I feel that I am lucky to have grown up in a time where hip hop was at its best. It was a time where the genre was not in the forefront and artist were hungry for the limelight.
With this documentary fans get an inside look as to how they gotten past stardom and are faced with real life issues. Most know that Phife is really diabetic from one of his alias’ “Funky Diabetic”. There’s what brought on their inspiration, and of course all the drama that comes with most groups.
The film stars other rappers such as De La Soul, Large Professor, Nas, The Jungle Brothers, and a few others. So far there are no set release date.
I must see this…they too are my favorite hip hop group evar!
