Cryptozoic Entertainment, leading creator of board games, trading cards, and physical and digital collectibles, today announced that it will showcase recently released tabletop games at PAX Unplugged 2018, November 30-December 2 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. Organized by Penny Arcade and Reed Exhibitions, PAX Unplugged celebrates tabletop gaming with panels, exhibitors, tournaments, freeplay areas, prizes, and more.
Cryptozoic will be at Booth #2956 demoing and selling its latest releases: Cult: Choose Your God Wisely, Rick and Morty: The Rickshank Rickdemption Deck-Building Game, and DC Deck-Building Game: Rivals — Green Lantern vs. Sinestro. In addition, Cryptozoic will feature popular recent releases Rick and Morty: The Pickle Rick Game and Pantone™: The Game.

Cryptozoic will feature several recent releases at the event, including:
Cult: Choose Your God Wisely: This 2-5 player board game is a worker/Priest placement game with a unique take on in-game currency: Followers. Players choose Gods (each with special abilities) and send their Priests to places in the Eternal City in an attempt to bring their deities victory over the minds and souls of humanity. Followers are gained and sacrificed and Altars are built to the different Gods as they clash in this exciting new take on the genre. The game can be played now on Tabletopia, a virtual platform for board games co-founded by Igrology, allowing people to check it out before purchasing the physical game.
Rick and Morty: The Rickshank Rickdemption Deck-Building Game: In this sequel to Rick and Morty: Close Rick-Counters of the Rick Kind Deck-Building Game, 2-5 players must buy powerful cards—like the Szechuan Sauce card—to build up their decks and take down the Galactic Federation and Seal Team Ricks. The game includes a set of Council cards that cause players to cast votes (using Access Tokens) in order to bid for cards, punish a player, or make all players lose cards. At the end of the game, the player who has accumulated the most Victory Points from the cards in his or her deck wins. It can be combined with the first game for an even bigger experience.
DC Deck-Building Game: Rivals — Green Lantern vs. Sinestro: In this deck-building game that utilizes Cryptozoic’s popular Cerberus Engine, two players become iconic rivals Green Lantern and Sinestro and engage in direct Confrontations. As gameplay progresses, players buy more powerful cards and attack and defend until their opponent’s three oversized Character cards are defeated. To coincide with the game’s release, Cryptozoic has also made available DC Deck-Building Game: 2018 Organized Play Kit 2, which includes instructions for stores to run tournaments for the DC
Deck-Building Game, as well as a limited-edition Playmat, 12 Gypsy Hero Promo Cards, and a Gypsy poster. Retailers can order it from their distributors.
PantoneTM: The Game: In this easy-to-learn competitive party game, 2-20 players try to recognize characters from pop culture who are represented only by abstract arrangements of colors, inspired by Pantone™, the world’s leading color expert. Designed by Scott Rogers (Rayguns and Rocketships, the God of War video game series), the game has garnered glowing reviews from many outlets, including highly regarded podcast and YouTube channel The Dice Tower.
Rick and Morty: The Pickle Rick Game: This intense 1-2 player game is based on the hugely popular “Pickle Rick” episode of Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty. One player becomes Pickle Rick as he tries to escape a heavily armed compound, while the other player takes on the roles of both the Russians and Jaguar as they try to stop him. Adding to the off-the-wall fun is the collectible Pickle Rick game case that measures approximately 12.75 inches tall and holds all of the game’s components, including custom Pickle Rick and Jaguar playing pieces!
