The first release in the ‘PETE FOWLER AND FIENDS’ collector’s series
Dudebox has been working closely with Pete Fowler to create a new range of collectable vinyl toys. The origins were based in the hugely successful ‘Design a Fiend’ competition held in December 2011. From over 300 brilliant entries a panel of special judges decided on three winners. Those three Fiends will emerge over the future as part of the Fiends collection. The project, named Pete Fowler and Fiends, brings together top character artists, illustrators and designers to work on the series of new platform toys designed by Pete Fowler. The new collection marks Pete’s return to the vinyl toy world.
‘Dai Ocean’ is the newest arrival on Monsterism Island. A seafaring adventurer, originally from Tiger Bay and now a resident of Marina Del Ray, brings a touch of mysterious cool as he comes ashore sporting his trademark sunglasses.
Dai Ocean is a 5 inch tall, limited edition of 300, vinyl figure. It is now available for pre-order at www.dudebox.com and on our US Dollar online store at usa.dudebox.com. Dai will be released at New York Comic Con from October 11th 2012 at the Dudebox Booth #2915.
Dudebox is currently hosting a contest over on Facebook where one lucky fan will win an original Pete Fowler painting, depicting Dai Ocean in all his seafaring greatness. Entrants need to head to DudeboxHQ and click on contest, or follow this link. Each participant has to ‘Like’ the DudeboxHQ page and fill in the form which includes a very easy question to answer. They will then be entered into a prize draw with the winner being revealed at New York Comic Con on October 13th 2012.
