Today Valve has finally come public about the new Counter Strike game that has been rumored about for the last couple of weeks. They have a target release on Playstation Network, Xbox Live Arcade and Steam for both PC and Mac sometime in the first quater of 2012. They have also said that Counter Stike: Global Strike will feature new maps, characters, and a new set of weapons. They will also be bringing back some updated versions of the ever classic maps (i.e. de_dust).
For me this is possible the best news I have heard in a while. Counter Strike is probably my most favorite game to play on my PC/Mac. At one point I spent most of my day playing it. This really makes me wish that we were going to PAX Prime now, seeing as those who are going get to be hands on with the game as well as for our friends going to the Eurogamer Expo.
