While his temperament is appropriate for the Mortal Kombat universe, Freddy Kruger’s addition as the latest DLC character for MK is a bit peculiar but cool none the less. In an interview with the PlayStation Blog, MK Creative Director Ed Boon revealed that there were a few other famous movie killers, like Jason Voorhees and Michael Myers, that were considered as a guest character but Freddy won out by a claw. Boon also gave some insight on Freddy’s fight style, which is very claw based thanks to the inclusion of two knife gloves and that they based Freddy’s look on the Robert England Freddy, although I think he looks more like the Jackie Earl Haley version.
