We got a chance to sit down and play a demo of the new Puzzle Quest, which is a sequel to the first one, it was quite addicting. They have added some tweeks to the newer version, which now have mini games (6 in total), a new way of getting missions and side missions, and weapons too!! I must say this game is great, if you liked the first one you will like the second one. The map is now a Diablo style map, that allows the user to move around at leisure. The game is more choice driven, so you can play the way you want to without having to be told too much, which I liked. There seems to be more time on the actual puzzle grid this time around, which always bothered me about the first one, there were times when I just wanted to play all the time. Also now in this version you don’t have to worry about getting your XP and gold, its given to you at the end of each game, which is really cool so now you can focus more on strategy than on trying to get all the XP and gold on the puzzle board. Overall D3 did great job on the sequel, expect it out this spring on XBLA and DS, plans to go to PSP and PSN are still in talks but very likely.
