So here at me and Dre’s apartment, we have shitty walls. You can not nail a damn thing in without it falling out. Right now we have started to re-decorate, I really want to have all my sketches and other artwork pieces framed and hung. So I have been spending my days researching the interwebs for a solution. Here is what I’ve found:
Solution #1: Is this a tape style frame and easily lets you swap photos in and out. I love the idea, but the problem is that not everything that I want to hang are photos and this solution leaves the photos out to potentially get ripped or just wore out. Its called Photowall.
Solution #2: Is this wire system. This was something that I was thinking about for awhile, but I was thinking about doing something vertical. This solution is great too but also just for photos. I think that this wire system could totally work or be adapted for other size frames and pieces, but this one requires some drilling in the wall. Drilling still worries me because like I said earlier the walls here are really weak.
Solution #3: Is just not hanging them up at all and throwing them in my book case, but our bookcase is getting packed up with other things, like my vinyls, video games, and books. So that’s pretty out of the question.
Solution #4: Is to find a new apartment! LOL. But that’s really hard too, money is tight and packing would just suck.
So my question to all my readers, what would you guys recommend to someone who has crappy walls, who can’t really drill or nail things into the way, but really wants to hang their artwork?
