Playstation Home 1.3 update due out Oct. 1st

I have been a user of Playstation Home since its early beta stage.  I have seen it go from a little space to a world full of things to do and people to meet. You just have to avoid the random idiots that seem to always be there. With this update there are quite a few things being added.  One being game launching.  This feature is not what everyone was hoping it would be, such as you getting 6 of your buddies together and jumping to a match of COD4 or Resistance 2. What the feature does allow is for you to launch any game without having to go back to the XMB.  I see it as Sony laying down the foundation for what people expect.

Along with that there is now “In Store Previewing”. This is kinda like Xbox 360’s avatar Marketplace where you can get a better look of items on your avatar.  You will be able to see multiple items on your avatar in 3d so you can see if that shirt really matches that set of skinny jeans. You will also be able to purchase them all at once instead of one at a time. They have also added more clothing to the stores as well.

There will be more items to use including limited use items, you know like the bubble machine. There is an item called Shrink Cake that lets you shrink your avatar to a tiny size and portable objects . Some items promised won’t be out till later. Like the camera which will allow you to take pics in home and save them on your console that you can then send to others or use them to decorate your Home space.

Last but not least is the new emotes and actions. There will be a few more added such as coin flipping or guess the number from 1 to 100. All you guys out there doing the running man, there will be more dances. Yes I am talking to you Cross718. I will be on Home checking out the new features as should you.
