GTA Chinatown Wars release party

DSC_0666.JPG

Last night, was the GTA: Chinatown Wars release party, at the Nintendo World here in NYC.  The crowd was fairly intimate, with a pretty sweet DJ (DJ OhNo) and some cool giveaways (that I didn’t know about until I got there).  The giveaway included 5 Nintendo DS Lites, as well as the Liberty City Kubrick set.  Also with the purchase of the DS game, you got a t-shirt (the official GTA: Chinatown Wars one), a poster, and some stickers.

The Rockstar crew were rocking some really dope tees too ones that were made for promotional use only (it was the Liberty City promo shirt).

Also at the event were a bunch of the GTA stylus!! Very cool even though they don’t fit in the DS.

REVIEW: Living Dead Doll – Jason Voorhees Edition

DSC_0534.JPG

The totally awesome people at Mezco Toyz, hooked us up with some toys to review.  One of which is the Living Dead Doll Jason Voorhees Edition, this dude is pretty creepy and even though he is only 10 inches tall.  I, for one, am not a fan of things that scary, but this little bugger is very cool looking, he’s got a machete and what looks like real hair, I didn’t touch (he looked mean).

REVIEW: Sket One Buckeye Rot

DSC_0612.JPG

The people over at Wheaty Wheat Studios were nice enough to send us some of the Buckeye Rot by Sket One.  They were first previewed at the NYCC 09, and I instantly loved them! Especially because I love tomatoes a lot, especially KETCHUP… mmm KETCHUP!

Review: Tetris Cube

DSC_0492.JPG

The Tetris Cube by Imagination Games, is frustrating (in a good way) yet challenging toy for puzzle lovers of all ages.  I’ve had the Tetris Cube for about a week now, besides the fact that I have yet to solve the cube, I find it to be very challenging.  There are about 9000+ ways to solve the cube, its quite a challenge in itself, because of all the varations.

I love the challenge and plan to keep at it, however its Dave’s turn at it, so next week he gets the Tetris cube, and hopefully he can’t solve it either so that way I don’t feel like a dope!

The Tetris cube can be bought online, here is the list.

KAWS on NEW YORK MAGAZINE

kaws-new-york-magazine-2009-cover

I’m a huge fan of the New York Magazine, mainly for the shopping section, and the crossword puzzles. I like the subjects that are in the magazine, especially when they do the BEST OF NEW YORK issues.

Hitting newsstands tomorrow, artist of the moment KAWS links up with respected publication New York Magazine to design a special cover. In a style we’ve seen over a few instances last year with CLOT and colette, KAWS trademark cartoon alphabet makes a return. This issue hits newsstands on March 2nd.

I got some information for all those toy collectors out there after the jump.

Tetris Cube has arrived!!

DSC_0491.JPG

Today I had to stay home and watch the little one, cause she is sick, also because Killzone 2 is suppose to be coming in from Amazon too.  While I’m working someone rings my bell, so I run to the door thinking its Killzone 2, but to my surprise it isn’t. It was a package from Jill over at Imagination!

I met her at Toy Fair ’09 and she told me that if we wanted we could review some of the games that they have over there.  I personally had my eye on this Tetris puzzle cube they had on display. We are all really are very excited for two reasons – one , their puzzles and we like those, and two because it’s TETRIS!!!

We plan on reviewing it later this week when we can all get together and play around with it.  We still gotta watch our magic DVD that we got. I wanna see the boys do some magic tricks.
