Yesterday I, as well as many of you, got to play a demo of Sega’s upcoming Vanquish. While playing this third-person shooter it kinda felt like “Gears” with out the one-button action. I must say that this demo left me wanting to play more of the game. Controls are solid. Using the “rush” mode(L2/LT buttons) cause things to slowdown when your shooting. It kinda reminds me of Max Payne, or Dead To Rights with its bullet time. Demo info and video after the jump

It is time for the Thunder God to rise up with his trusty hammer “Moljinir” and battle the evil forces of “Loki”; while proving himself to Odin father of the Norse Gods. All right now that the dramatic intro is over; Sega has once again taken up the responsibility of making another movie game…..*cricket sounds*….yes I feel your enthusiasm as well. This goes out to the team that is making this game; please for the love of all that is holy you have enough time to make this game decent. There already have been two strikes with you with Ironman and Ironman 2. I will give you one tip or rather advice, do not follow the movie; just be original….can you do that please? All right gamers that’s my rant for now and I hope this game has promise, stay frosty!

I believe that some of you might look the other way when you hear about a new Iron Man game based off the sequel, but I think they are fixing a lot of their mistakes from the first game. After taking a look at that reveal video appearance of “War Machine” I would have a change of heart especially with the ending revealing what looks like co-op game-play.
