Things We’re Diggin’: Kitty Face Latte

I wish I could possess this awesome ability, but not would love it besides me cause I am the only one from the Bifuteki crew that drinks coffee.  Either way, this kitty is adorable, so adorable I would probably feel bad drinking it.

Philly – Where to eat? What to do?

So some of the Bifuteki crew is heading to Philly for a Street Fighter tourney and although I’m not playing in the tourney, I planned on going so I can eat and shop and just get away from the city.

So my question is what should I do or where should I eat?

I know we plan on hitting up the two rival Philly Cheese places, but what else is there to do in Philly?

With E3 and Madden 11′s relelase coming rapidly. The developers of the game sit down and speak on making the AI players smarter. I for one love this upgrade to the AI. While playing online/offline I go for a toss play with my RB where my tackle should block a defender coming to tackle me and they don’t. This just made me wet my pants seeing this.

WTF GAMERS!?!: Sequels

Welcome everyone to this week’s “WTF GAMERS!?!” topic is “Sequels”, the topic has been on the tongues of a lot gamers for a while. The reason gamers have been complaining about sequels is because they don’t seem to feel like sequels at all; more like DLC or expansions. In my opinion it has been like that for years and gamers need to stop the bitchin’! I have heard each and everyone of your cries and sorrows about playing games and not being satisfied, but this is my rebuttal for all of you.

I ask you to travel as far as you can remember when you picked up your first keyboard or controller to play whatever game that made you waste a lot of your childhood away. A time before DLC and expansion packs that were not connected to the net. Let’s take Super Mario Bros., a simple 8-bit platformer, whose sole objective was to go from point A to point B.  Trying to find that damn princess, who’s always in always in a different damn castle. The same deals went on with the sequels, until Super Mario Bros. 3 where I felt was a true sequel with new items and somewhat of an RPG feel, where you could save your powers or find magical items to get across levels.

Its now 2010 and we have a lot of convenient DLC, meaning everything can be accessed or sent through the net. Games these days don’t always need sequels so soon anymore. However, you know what does piss me off? The fact that the consumer has a need for something new, while a small group of real gamers enjoy what we currently have and rather just have the developers keep giving us the DLC/expansions. The short attention span of the average gamer is disappointing. As my final thought shut the hell up and enjoy what you got, some of these developers cater too much to what you want and you all still aren’t satisfied. Stay frosty gamers!

Tor Books Re-issues Halo Book Series

Just in time for the new Halo Reach game coming this fall, Tor Books has announced a re-issue of the first three original Best Selling Halo series. Those of you that have not read the series should check them out since it touches base on the prequel to Halo and goes into Combat Evolved and Halo 2 game for the Xbox. The following books are listed with a little synopsis by Tor Books below.

  • Halo: The Fall of Reach is the original Halo novel first published in 2001. It tells the story of the origins of Master Chief, Halo’s iconic hero, from his childhood to his rise to the top of the Spartan-II program, where his legend will be solidified. This trade paperback edition will serve as the definitive version of the novel that started Halo fans reading the series.
  • Halo: The Flood is a dramatic novelization of the events occurring in the very first Halo game, the award-winning “Halo: Combat Evolved,” it continues the storyline established in the first book and expands upon the relationship between the Master Chief and his companion AI, Cortana.
  • Halo: The First Strike is a story that bridges the crucial events between the first Halo game, “Halo: Combat Evolved,” and its sequel “Halo 2.”

I like to thank Justin Golenbock and the people at Tor Books but also to the great authors of this trilogy for sharing such great literature which takes gamers further into the story then we could ever imagine. All right gamers the re-issue of the Halo trilogy will be hitting the stores in August. As always stay frosty and always check your ammo.
