This chaotic and calming home improvement game is about building modular furniture without instructions, either alone or with up to 8 players.
HOME IMPROVISATION features multiple rooms to decorate or destroy with modular furniture creations. Players can assemble dozens of furniture pieces in the free-styling Form Mode or mission-based Function Mode. Create domestic works of art with awesome tools, custom colors and unique lighting, either alone or with up to 8 players locally. And there’s lots of Swedish!
HOME IMPROVISATION was created by the Atlanta-based team, The Stork Burnt Down, for the 48 hour Global Game Jam in January 2015. The four-person studio has since been vigorously iterating on the game jam prototype that created significant buzz on Youtube and Twitch since. The game has been called “probably Game of the Year, every year, in Sweden.” by acclaimed interior designer PewDiePie and “one of the surprising hits at [PAX East]” by digital furniture review site Polygon.com.
