I got a chance to check out the Kickstarter booth at PAX, it was a great booth, off the floor, with a lot of interesting games in it. It was like a giant mega Kickstarter with all different kind of games, including tabletop games. One of the games that I got to check out was A Terrible Time: The Party Game Where Everyone Loses. The game is exactly what it says it is, every game of A TERRIBLE TIME is a trip to HELL, literally. Teams choose a token and a lane, and then advance down the board as they successfully complete Challenges. The first team to reach HELL and perform a card from the Humiliation deck wins.
The way you play is a group of people can either play together on one team or spilt into groups, and your objective is to get to hell and humiliate yourself. The way to do that is by rolling a die and playing the corresponding color card from the deck. There are different decks, like Facts, Art and Performance, every correct answer gets you closer to the final phase, where you pick a Humiliation card and perform that said act. Mine was spit in my hand and shake with someone else that has also spit in my hand.
