Pat was a great guy in the NorCal TEKKEN community and was an arcade tech aficionado. I would often have conversations with him about the latest crazy in arcade sticks whenever I saw him at gaming industry events or fighting game tournaments. As such we are running a donation drive to help raise funds for Patrick’s family. The donation drive is going on now and ends at the end of day on Jan. 24, 2014. There will be prize incentives for all that donate as our thanks for supporting this noble cause. Special thanks to NorCal TEKKEN, SoCal TEKKEN, SDTEKKEN, Super Arcade, Mad Catz, Hori, TEKKEN series director – Katsuhiro Harada, Game Producer – Michael Murray, Bandai Namco Games Inc. and everyone else who has supported our efforts so far!
UPDATE #1 – JAN. 25, 2014 – The donation drive is NOW over! Thank you everyone for your support! We are going to wait for donations to clear (some are pending) and run the drawing for the prizes on Jan. 31, 2014. Stay tuned for the announcements soon!
UPDATE #2 – FEB. 2, 2014 – We have postponed the actual prize drawing until mid-February due to the gracious donation from Bandai Namco’s TEKKEN Team. Special thanks to Harada-san for providing signed Soulcalibur & TEKKEN items to be included! We will be accepting donations until we do the actual drawing. Date TBA! Thanks for your patience!
UPDATE #3 – FEB. 16, 2014 – We have an updated list of additional prizes that we will include in the extended donation drive (we have yet to receive them, but will notify everyone once we get it). As it stands now, in order to give everyone a fair shot at the new prizes, the actual drawing will be held on Monday, March 3, 2014 by end of day. We will announce the winners for each prize. Please help us continue to push the donation drive link until then! Thank you!
