Hidden Path Entertainment announces that its self-published title, Windborne, will commence a preview testing period on Monday November 11, 2013. Over the course of four or more weeks the gaming community will have opportunities to receive a code to join in the fun. Windborne is coming off a very exciting PAX Prime where an early alpha build was available for public play. The community has been enthusiastically supportive of this independent creation game. “If it’s not evident already, the world of Windborne is brimming with high-fantasy and lore galore. The entire experience, even in alpha, was very charming, colorful and vibrant,” stated Robinson of Machinima’s Inside Gaming Daily. And, Total Biscuit commented in his PAX Prime gameplay video, “I like the idea that you can both be creative and also have that creativity be a part of the objective of the game.”

The purpose of this preview period is to test many components of Windborne prior to it going to early access on Steam. Remember, if you played at PAX and helped us with the survey you will be receiving your code soon, you will be helping Hidden Path test the game mechanics and more. Windborne’s Lead Designer at Hidden Path, Michael Austin, had this to say about the preview, “Join us for a taste of what Windborne will offer.  We have created a starting island to explore and build on with over 100 craftable objects and a full set of tools for shaping and placing them.  During this period gamers will be able to connect and play with friends via Steam.” Austin goes on, “We want the community’s feedback, it helps drive the development process of Windborne. Play the preview, let us know what you think, and together we’ll build your new favorite game.”
