Review: Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit (PS3)

I hope that you guys are enjoying our new way of reviewing, I think it gets right to the point and doesn’t make you read a lot, because I know I hate to read extremely long reviews.  Please let us know if theres more that you are looking for in reviews, besides the Loves and Hates.  We’ll still considering adding more to the reviews, but honestly don’t know what.

I got to play Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit last night, it was awesome!  However of course I had issues, when do I ever have a review that doesn’t have gripes.

LOVEs:

  • The hilarious banter
  • Nestor – that crazy ass octopus
  • The “finishing” moves for all the enemies (although I did have trouble with some of them) – there are a lot of references to other games which I thought was hilarious
  • The RPGish island where I tell monsters to get the hell to work
  • The different monsters and their names
HATEs:
  • Not enough save/checkpoints – literally I had a checkpoint between two enemies and every time I spawned I got butt raped it was lovely
  • Not enough health regeneration areas
  • Some of the “finishing” moves are so abstract that I couldn’t figure them out and as a result lost health

Overall Hell Yeah! was awesome and I enjoyed it.

*For this review I got as far as the Alien ship.  I’m still playing it but I wanted to post my review now.  If you are interested in watching me play some more I’ll be streaming Hell Yeah! either Thursday or Friday in between my Borderland 2 and Tokyo Jungle gameplay.
