No this was not a ploy by Dr. Evil from the Austin Powers movie. Instagram which is a photo based social network that allowed its users to share photos that they were able to apply filters on, was bought by Facebook today for a whooping sum of 1 billion dollars. The application that is available for both Android and iOS devices was iOS only for quite a while up until last week. With instagram joining the Facebook family I am guess we can see the same filters coming to the Facebook photo albums. Most of us here at bifuteki use the photo sharing social network.
