Changes Coming To PlayStation Network Download Policy Nov. 18th

GOOD NEWS: You will be able to activate and deactivate PS3 and PSP systems linked to your account through the PC in addition to doing it on Playstation devices. This is a feature that is WAY overdue considering that there have been a number of people who (like myself) had a system YLOD and they couldn’t get to deactivate their accounts.

BAD NEWS: Starting November 18th, any game content downloaded from the PlayStation Store for the PS3 or the PSP will only be allowed to be put on 2 systems each instead of the previously allowed 5 systems. Any content that you purchased prior to Nov 18th can still be placed on 5 systems.

While I understand that they want to limit the amount of users from sharing content, I wish they would have went with 3 systems instead of 2. I also am a little upset that it took them this long to allow users to deactivate accounts on the web, that should have been available from the beginning or at least when the full PlayStation Store went active. Another thing to note is that there was no indication of when this activation feature will be available. We will let know when that information is available.
