I was looking over a press release from Aksys Games announcing some of the games they will be showing at PAX East later this week and one game made me pause. All of a sudden I was transported back to my corner candy store that had video game cabinets including Double Dragon. I could almost feel my pockets heavy with quarters anticipating putting all of them into the glowing machine. I can feel myself grinning at the name of the boss character Abobo because his name always reminded me of my favorite all purpose seasoning Adobo. As I woke up from my gaming flashback I realized that this remix is heading to the iOS platform and that I won’t have a chance to play it seeing as I presently own a non-Apple Dumbphone. But for those of you out there that do own an iPhone you can relive the awesome street karate adventures of Billy and Jimmy on this revamped Double Dragon. The game sports updated sprites and music, new levels and you can have a friend join in the action via Bluetooth connection.
