Giveaway: Bifuteki’s T-Shirt (Series 1) 13

So our first run of shirts got picked up from this great place in Brooklyn called Pete’s T-Shirt Shop.  The owners were really awesome, not to mention we got a QR code on our shirt which isn’t the easiest thing to do and most places in New York don’t want to do it.  They were awesome to work with and I would recommend them to anyone looking to get some shirts done in a fast amount of time.

So onto the giveaway!  We’re changing the rules this time, see below.

RULES:

  • Follow us on Twitter (if you aren’t already)
  • Comment on the site (please post your twitter name too so we can follow you back)
  • Tell us what you think Bifuteki means (don’t cheat we wanna know what you think it means)

We’ll pick 5 lucky winners, after we get at least 10 comments.  If you’re wondering about sizes we have from M – XL.

Giveaway ends in next Wednesday (midnight).

I know that Bifuteki means Beef Steak in Japanese, because I'm part Japanese lol but it should be written in Katakana and not Hiragana (The t-shirt in this picture have the word written in Hiragana) it's okay to do that in some cases (You usually see this things in Mangas, Songs, Anime Subs, etc..) but it is not always right. whenever we borrow the word from a foreign language, we usually use Katakana and you know this by the sound of the word, its similar to English (Beef Steak = Bifu Teki).

I'm Following on Twitter, my Twitter username is: @PeraPeraPenguin

and I'm working on a nice origami xD I'll be posting a picture of it next to the game that I received from you guys 🙂

The Bifu (beefu is how I pronounce it) always makes me think of the word beef which then makes me think about mouth watering baby back ribs. The Teki makes me think of anything Tech-y, so with the baby back ribs and tech I naturally think of a cow that is half beef half alien robot.

“Teki” always reminded me of “Technology”. It's funny cause I've thought many times to myself “What DOES Bifuteki mean?”. lol. “Bif” reminds me of “Bif Naked”. lol. Combined: Crazy hardcore Tecmology (as Ali G would put it).

So I know bifuteki means “beefsteak” in Japanese. (Though, it could be argued that I have an unfair advantage since I actually am taking a Japanese class right now… >_>) But – whenever I think of bifuteki, I think of Cartman! 😮

“Follow your dreams. You can reach your goals. I'm living proof. Beefcake, BEEFCAAAAAKE!”

    BEEEEFCAKE!

I wish it meant “beef tech” because that would be awesome, hilarious, and confusing. It reminds me of a computer with a meatball for a mouse and a rack of ribs for the keyboard. Ha!

I followed you on Twitter (Chanmeleon)
