How much would you pay for a giant Mario? I hope a lot, cause guess what there- is one up on Ebay right now!! For charity!  That’s right.  The world’s largest Mario is being auctioned off on Ebay for the Ronald McDonald House Charity in the Netherlands- right now the current bid is about 38oo USD.  Here are some of the stats for the Mario sculptor:

  • everything is glued
  • roughly 1 week making plans
  • pedestal : 25 hours of building ( 12,000 pcs) ; 30 x 103 x 52cm
  • mario : 160 hours of building ( 30,000 pcs ) ; 150 x 85 x 75cm – (about 5’9”)
  • 50 kg
  • built in 16 days

It was made by this guy in the pic DM_Meister. He’s a part time LEGO sculptor.  This guy is pretty awesome – he has a lot of other LEGO sculptors up on his flickr. He also has a facebook fan page here called Brick Projects.

Can you buy the plans to this anywhere? I'd love to build my own for my front room!
